Donor-Advised Funds
When you make a grant to Orlando Health from your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), you help bring hope, healing and compassion to the patients and communities we serve. Your generosity will support lifesaving programs, groundbreaking clinical research, state-of-the-art equipment and enhanced care for families during their most difficult times. Together, we can give our patients the best chance at a brighter future.
What is a Donor-Advised Fund?
A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable giving account that allows individuals to contribute assets, receive an immediate tax deduction, and recommend grants to nonprofits over time. It offers donors flexibility in their giving, enabling them to support causes when the time is right, while simplifying the donation process by managing all charitable contributions in one account. Additionally, funds in a DAF can grow tax-free, helping donors to maximize their impact and support long-term philanthropic goals.

Ways to make an impact with your DAF
Celebrate the life of a loved one or commemorate a meaningful occasion.
Transfer appreciated stock to your DAF to maximize the impact of your charitable giving and avoid capital gains taxes.
Inspire your loved ones by sharing the importance of charitable giving and the values that guide your generosity.
Consider bunching your charitable contributions within a single year, which may create an opportunity to itemize deductions and enhance the tax benefits of your giving.
Designate a portion, or the entirety, of your DAF to charity by simply updating your beneficiary designation.
Leave Your Legacy
With a DAF, you can make an impact during your lifetime while also having the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy. By creating a succession plan for your fund, you may have the flexibility to:
• Designate a charitable beneficiary, such as Orlando Health Foundation, to receive all or a portion of the remaining assets.
• Appoint a loved one or trusted advisor as successor to the fund.
Consider including Orlando Health as a beneficiary of your account to impact the future of compassionate medical care in your community. As an acknowledgment of your generosity, we welcome you to become a member of our Heritage Circle. We encourage you to consult with the sponsoring agency of your DAF to learn more about the succession planning options available to you.
