For more than 40 years, the Alexander Center for Neonatology at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies (NICU)has been a leader in the fight to save the tiniest of patients. Every day, skilled physicians and nurses at our NICU provide the highest level of life-saving care for critically ill newborns, with one ultimate goal in mind: to help these babies thrive and beat the odds.
Andrew and I will be walking in September, in honor of our twin boys, Drew and Liam. Our boys were born at just 26 weeks, weighing only 2 pounds each. Drew and Liam fought for their lives in the Winnie Palmer NICU. As a family, we were put through every emotion imaginable and went on a true roller coaster ride. We were beyond blessed to bring home our boys after 83 long days in the NICU. Through countless prayers and the phenomenal care of the Winnie Palmer Doctors and Nurses our boys have been thriving and enjoying every ounce of their sweet lives. We are eternally grateful to the team who treated our angels and will do anything we can to support this incredible hospital!
Through Walk For Winnie, we will be able to provide funding for the care and treatment of the sickest of babies. Please join me in raising funds to support the tiny miracles born in the NICU every single day!
