2019 Walk For Winnie - 5th Anniversary

Double Dragon

Our "Double Dragons” (born in the year of the dragon) weighed just 2 pounds, 13 ounces and 2 pounds, 8 ounces when they were born prematurely at 28 weeks gestation. They received extraordinary care in the NICU for 73 days and came home 8 days before their actual due date. We will be forever grateful to Winnie Palmer Hospital and the amazing caregivers who helped our twins through their approx. 2.5 month stay in the NICU.

For more than 40 years, the Alexander Center for Neonatology at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies (NICU)has been a leader in the fight to save the tiniest of patients.  Every day, skilled physicians and nurses at our NICU  provide the highest level of life-saving care for critically ill newborns, with one ultimate goal in mind: to help these babies thrive and beat the odds.

Through Walk For Winnie, we will be able to provide funding for the care and treatment of the sickest of babies. Please join me in the fight by raising funds to support the miracles born in the NICU every single day!
